SF Commercial Properties Fund Focuses on Biodiversity and Long-term Success

With a new flowering meadow and insect house in Möhlin, the SF Commercial Properties Fund is strengthening biodiversity right on its doorstep and sending a clear signal about its commitment to sustainability.
At the same time, the Commercial Fund has recorded several successful lease renewals and new additions in Buchs, which will secure the quality of location in the long term.

Biodiversity Project in Möhlin: Sustainability in Detail

Sustainability begins in the details. This also applies to projects that appear small at first glance. A flowering meadow with native plants has been created on the site at Industriestrasse 5, providing valuable habitat for insects and amphibians. The next step will be to build a professional insect house there.

The Swiss Finance & Property Group (SFP Group) consistently integrates environmental, social and governance (ESG) aspects into its real estate strategy. This involves not only large development projects, but also local initiatives that make a concrete contribution to biodiversity and quality of life.

One example of this is the biodiversity project at Industriestrasse 5 in Möhlin. A flowering meadow with native plants and a professional insect house are being created on the commercial property site.

In this way, the SFP Group is creating additional habitat for numerous insects and amphibians that are native to the area around the commercial property due to its proximity to the forest and the "Bachtele" nature reserve.

These can benefit from the protection, food and nesting opportunities offered by the already planted flowering meadow. The meadow has been planted with native flowers recommended by the local nursery Mahrer Gartenbau GmbH, and a professional insect house is being installed by the company "Nisthilfen Switzerland". This will specifically strengthen the biodiversity of the flora and fauna in the region. Another plus point is that the new meadow also enhances the visual appearance of the property, benefiting everyone involved.

The meadow has already been planted, and the insect hotel will be installed by the end of the year. The project shows how SFP Group implements its ESG principles even with smaller measures: effectively, sustainably and visibly.

Long-term Leasing Successes at the Buchs AG Location

The SF Commercial Properties Fund of the SFP Group has recorded several significant letting successes at Amsleracherweg 8 in Buchs AG. Both long-standing tenants and a newcomer are committed to the location for the long term, thus sending a strong signal about its attractiveness and quality.

Canton of Aargau Remains Key Anchor Tenant

The canton of Aargau has extended its leases for 4 609 m² of office space and 101 parking spaces on a long-term basis. Various departments of the Department of Economic Affairs and Home Affairs, including the cantonal police, the land registry office and the public prosecutor's office, will thus continue to be based at this central location. With this extension, the canton is securing its proven structures at an excellently connected location.

Broad tenant spectrum and new impetus

Other well-known companies have also reaffirmed their confidence in the location:
Schulverlag Plus AG, a provider of teaching materials and further education, is extending its leases for 3 473 m² of office and storage space until 2031.
Circet (Switzerland) AG, a leading telecommunications service provider, will also remain until 2031 with 806 m² and 15 Parking spaces.

Crossfit Aarau Herznach AG is expanding its fitness offering on site: in addition to extending its existing 442 m², it has leased an additional 273 m² until 2031.

From September 2025, we will welcome Kuma Solution AG, a supplier of peripheral products for the plastics market. The company is leasing 261 m² of office and storage space as well as five Parking spaces until 2030.

These successful contract signings strengthen the long-term occupancy of the property in the heart of Aargau and confirm the SF Commercial Properties Fund's focus on sustainable partnerships, Quality of location and stable returns.
