On Saturday, 6 May 2023, an event was held to inform the public about the Zentrum Dorfstrasse construction project in Schöftland.
A new residential and commercial building will be constructed in Dorfstrasse in Schöftland on land occupied by Coop and formerly the Haltestelle restaurant. Coop will be extended and three buildings containing 36 apartments will be built above it. The construction work will be carried out in two stages and is scheduled to be completed in the autumn of 2027. Coop will remain open during this period. The project is costing approximately CHF 28 million and is being realised by SF Retail Properties Fund in partnership with Kim Strebel Architekten GmbH in Aarau.
