SF Retail Properties Fund – Bioggio: new lease of around 1 000 m2 signed with Cassa dei Medici

Following full refurbishment of the building complex in Bioggio, the SF Retail Properties Fund has let the ground floor as part of commercial operations. Now a new tenant is to occupy floor space of 1 000 m² based on a ten-yearlease signed between Cassa dei Medici and the fund management, which also includes a ten-year extension option.

Cassa dei Medici will move into the second floor on 1 July 2021, using floor space of 914 m² for offices and a meeting centre. Additional floorspace will be allocated for storage and circulation areas as well as for technical purposes. The property in Bioggio is located in Via della Posta and comprises three floors. The lease was signed for a fixed ten-year term and contains an extension option for another ten years. This new lease means that the vacancy rate in the property is reduced by a further 20%, with a new rental contract for 400 m² having been signed in December 2020. The tenant is an established cooperative that offers administrative services for doctors and therapists throughout Switzerland.
