The Swiss Finance & Property Group is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is launching a college competition for the WALZWERK site (Walzwerk – Ideas Competition for Students).
To mark this anniversary, we are inviting students of architecture, urban planning, landscape architecture, and related disciplines to reimagine the Walzwerk site in Baselland.
The question: How can a former industrial site be transformed into a sustainable, mixed-use urban neighborhood?
The Walzwerk—50,589 m² between Münchenstein and Arlesheim, with industrial heritage, over 90 tenant units, and 300 to 400 visitors daily—offers the perfect context for an architectural and urban planning exploration.
1st Prize: CHF 5,000 | 2nd Prize: CHF 2,500 | 3rd Prize: CHF 1,000
